Although I was trained as a painter (UNC-Chapel Hill, BFA), my primary medium for my artistic expression is photographic montage (archival prints and mixed media).
Stories in the form of fables, myths and fairy tales have always held a fascination for me and helped me find perspective on my own deepest thoughts and emotions. The writings of Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell combined with my love of stories inspire me to delve deep into the emotions of my unconscious mind… those thoughts translate into photographic stories.
Although my art is very personal, I am delighted when my images appeal to viewers who discover a different interpretation based on their own life experience.
